The Dresden Dolls 5 track EP was the first release The Dresden Dolls sold at live gigs. It was handmade by Amanda and Brian and contained rough demo versions of their songs. Read more about it...
The EP was followed by a live album named A Is For Accident, featuring live recordings from lots of different gigs. It was first released by Important Records and later re-released by Amanda's own record label named 8 ft. Records.
The self-titled studio debut by The Dresden Dolls was first released by 8 ft. Records and later re-released by Roadrunner Records, when Amanda & Brian got signed by the major record label. Collectors distinguish at least 13 different versions of this album.
In April 2006, the Dolls' second studio album became released under the name Yes, Virginia..., coined on a popular letter published by the New York Sun in 1897, where a columnist answered to the question about the existance of Santa Claus.
Yes, Virginia... was followed by No, Virginia..., which contained out-takes of the Yes, Virginia... session, as well as new recordings. It represents the most current work of The Dresden Dolls, since the band is now on hiatus, while Amanda pushes her solo career and Brian joins various bands, including Humanwine and The World/Inferno Friendship Society, as well as a rogue appearance on Ghosts by Trent Reznor's Nine Inch Nails.
In September 2008, Amanda released her first solo album named Who Killed Amanda Palmer, produced by Ben Folds.
For March 2009, the release of her project Evelyn Evelyn (two conjoined (or "siamese") twins) is announced on Jason Webley's website, who happens to be the other half in this phenomenal adventure.
